Announcing: ReVeRBeRaTe 2012, Amplify Your Social Media Presence

Nov 10, 2011 by

I’m a small town girl, the kind of small town where everyone knows too much about you and your friend’s mothers treated you like one of their own. I went to college in the city and I like to visit the city.
All in all, I find comfort in the small town where you can sit in someone’s kitchen and just talk about whatever is on your mind.

I’m also a photographer. I prefer to be called a photographic artist because I really do like to think I can create art from the “what is”, and I’ll settle for photographer because it sounds less pretentious. My favorite thing to do with my camera is to tell stories, so when we moved to Wine Country 16 years ago, I became fascinated- some might say obsessed, with telling all the stories of the of families that put every thing on the line because they became enchanted with the grape.

Given my preference for small towns and my fascination with the wine culture, I began this modest ezine to share the stories I captured. And then I began to wonder how I could share my world with the whole world, and Secret Wine Country Conferences was born.

The first conference SWCC will present is REVERBERATE: Amplify Your Social Media Presence. The goal is to share with small and large businesses, governments, schools, service professionals, and corporations the education, tools and techniques for successfully integrating social media into their operations.

Unique to this conference is that the venue will be Downtown Hopland, California. I chose Hopland because it is truly a small town, a place where the tasting rooms are friendly and welcoming. It is easy to forget you are at a winery and begin to believe you are sitting at a dinner party with a few of your very best friends. Attendees will enjoy educational opportunities in tasting rooms, barrel rooms, and (weather permitting) at some vineyards. Additionally, there will be fun filled evenings with the people that are behind the romance of the wine; the winemakers, winery owners, tasting room managers, and winery families while experiencing winemaker dinners, blending parties and other exciting activities.

The goal for the conference is for every attendee to have the tools to implement social media into their operations to the level they choose. The conference will include workshops and presentations for every level of social media user, making it a valuable experience for the beginner to the advanced social media user.

Exciting, Right? Leave your contact information HERE so you don’t miss a thing!

Should be fabulous!! What a great idea to have a conference that is part of a community instead of just in a conference center!!
