Fall Hopland Passport 2011- 4) Weibel Family Winery

The Weibel Family Vineyard & Winery‘s Hopland Tasting Room is tucked in the corner of the mini-mall it shares with McFadden and Graziano.  They have the corner, and as such, they enjoy windows that wrap around the corner of the building and add to the air of sophistication.   Inside, the tasting room is cozy, and on the day of Hopland Passport, crowded.  Margaret is the heart of the Weibel tasting room. She knows wine and is very intuitive in choosing the wines that best match her guests palete and the discussions of the wines always add depth to a Weibel visit.  The Weibel winery produces red and white wine and noteworthy sparkling wines that are always in demand for celebratory events.   Not only does the Weibel tasting room carry red, white and sparkling wine, they make a specialty product called Sparkelle. These wines are flavored sparkling wines that are as fun as they are delicious. My favorite is the Almond followed closely by the Raspberry and Pomegranate. They also make a Peach.  Fork Catering, a catering truck. added their beautiful and simple offerings of gourmet finger foods to complete the experience at Weibel for the Fall Hopland Passport.
