Fall Hopland Passport 2011- 7) Brutocao Cellars
On South, we arrived at the Brutocao Cellars tasting room. Brutocao Celler is housed in the old Hopland school house. Years ago, Fetzer Winery purchase the school house and did some restoration on it. When the Brutocao family purchased it around a decade ago, they did a complete restoration. The family preserved all of the ornate décor and wood, refinishing it to match the period. The winery is now managed by brother Steve and David Brutocao.
The thing you can count on during Passport at Brutocao is the handmade brick fired pizza. You can’t count on the kind of pizza because they develop them just for Passport. The theme for the Brutacao crew this Fall Passport was the 60′s. They created a Spam pizza with other era appropriate concoctions and along with wine tasting, pizza eating, and band listening, Elvis was in the house. Thank You Very Much.
