Jewel of High Valley

High Valley is one of the newest (if not the newest) appellations in California.  That is because it is a unique place unlike any other in Lake County.  In fact, there is only one other like it in California.

Brassfield is another winery that is out in the back country of Lake County and visiting Noggle and then Brassfield in one day is as different as night and day.  While Noggle is quaint and charming, Brassfield is impressive and stately.  They are still treat you like you are a long lost friend and welcome you in, it is just in to  an estate that is reminiscent monastery with a majesty that is almost overwhelming.  While others tasted, I photographed.

Also on the property is the oldest building in Lake County

Brassfield is adding on a new portion that will house offices, a kitchen and a tasting room.

And as we were leaving, I couldn’t resist photographing this visitor.  Thanks Brassfield.  It was a great afternoon.
